Broad Street Green- Main Gas Pipe Upgrade
Start Date 2nd February 2026
Purpose- The work is required to upgrade the existing pipeline to meet increased demand.
Roads Affected
Scylla Close and Swifts Boulevard have direct vehicular access onto Broad Street Green Road. Access will be made possible by the use of a Rolling Road Closure methodology for the duration of the upgrade. Ash Grove, through connection with Wood Road, will be able to access Colchester Road.
Bus Routes Affected
Bus Services 75 Colchester/Maldon, 90 Witham/Maldon and 333 Heybridge/Chelmsford WILL NOT BE operating along Broad Street Green and bus stops will be SUSPENDED for the duration of the upgrade, with bus services following the diversionary route.
